The Official Airport Assistance Network of the World Airports
When flying through the Miami international airport food is the first thing to remind you that you are in Florida. As soon as you pass Cafe Versailles in Concourse D you can smell of Cuban coffee and fresh pastries. It is not new, as it attracts both locals and travelers. Their pastelitos and cortadito are fast satisfying snacks on the verge of a long flight, and, to be honest, they are Miami in a bite.
Corona Beach House is only a short walk away in Concourse J, and it can be said that it has the sensation of being plunged into a beach bar in Key West. It has music playing in the background, sun rays streaming through the windows, and a menu, which leans towards Caribbean cuisines; grilled shrimps, salads and bright cocktails, which do not taste like anything in the airport.
In Concourse E, Air Margaritaville makes it easy and well-known. It is the type of establishment where time is not of much importance, burgers on large dishes, folks smiling about the nachos, and the Florida carefree spirit at full blast.
Then there is La Carreta, which is located close to Gate D37. It is full, noisy as it should be and unashamedly Cuban. You will never miss with a share of ropa vieja or a fast cortado before taking off. It is sincere food at a quick pace, and somehow this makes waiting on the gate a little piece of Miami itself..
There are many areas to explore in Miami international in case you have time to spend between flights.
